“Returning to Cleveland, after fourteen years in Honolulu, I have found The Alcazar to be an answer to prayer. The Alcazar may be described as an oasis. It is of Spanish design set amidst the tranquility of the Cleveland Heights residential area. It provides accommodations for those seeking comfort, convenience, and charm in a cosmopolitan atmosphere.

The mix of guests is ever-changing. Permanent residents enjoy lobby conversations with guests of all ages who come and go. I have met those from Africa, South America, India, Europe, Hawaii, Japan, and China.

The seasons bring delightful changes to the stone-floored hexagonal lobby and stunning courtyard garden. In fall and winter the huge crested fireplace provides warmth and cheer to all.

This atmosphere has been a catalyst for my creative work, my endeavor for lasting culture exchange, and for my growing involvement in oral history projects at the nearby Historical Society.

The management and ownership (Western Reserve Residences, Inc.) take pride in preserving and restoring the beauty and comfort of the historic structure.
