Senior Living Testimonials

International Friends

Two years ago a young boy from Turkey sat down at the table that holds the large puzzle. Not only did this nine-year-old sit at this table but he also sat next to Independent Living Senior Resident, Helen. Helen and her young friend, Oran would work on the 1000 piece puzzle nightly. Oran’s mom and dad were thrilled by their son’s new friendship and the lessons of patience and perseverance he was learning from Helen’s example. Six months later the parents completed their studies and returned to Turkey. The family left a gift for Helen for which she promptly wrote a letter of gratitude and that was the beginning of a pen pal friendship. Two years later, her growing buddy, now 11 years old, phoned Helen early November just to say hello.

Now that is how living at the Alcazar brings people together from all around the world and fosters friendships that knows no bounds.
